Gitt One Pages documentation
A site on Gitt One Pages is a small git repository with your content in it. Everything else — the framework, the build, the web server — arrives as ready-made Docker images. This knowledge base is the reference for people who set up and maintain such a site.
It is itself a Gitt One Pages knowledge base: a repository of Markdown files,
README.md as the front page, folders as sections, built by
builder-docs and served by the engine’s nginx image. What you are reading
is what a customer’s documentation site looks like.
Where to start
Section titled “Where to start”- From a description — the site editor builds a landing page from a name and a few sentences.
- From a template — a knowledge base, a site on your own domain, or a cluster of your own.
- What is in the repository — the files you will see after either route.
Reference
Section titled “Reference”- Setup — domain, CI variables and the deploy token, previews, password protection, search, updating the engine, building on your machine, troubleshooting.
- Writing content — landing pages, knowledge bases, Markdown that renders like GitLab, images and files, languages, configuration reference.
- The site editor — chat, preview, Publish and Undo.
- Leaving — what goes with you.
Elsewhere
Section titled “Elsewhere”- How it works — the mechanics behind a site: builder images, the Dockerfile line by line, the pipeline, the nginx runtime, with the actual sources.
- Component collection — every section a landing page can be written in, with props, source and samples.
- pages.gitt.one — the product site.
